Load is a video performance that is projected vertically on a screen hanging freely in the room. A woman with outstretched arms stands in the center of the image. Two other persons enter the scene occasionally, taking up pieces of dough from the floor and shaping them into long teardrop-like lumps that they hang on the woman's shoulders, her head and her outstretched arms. The dressing, sculpting activity is performed piece by piece, and in the video we can observe the process – weight, wearing and failure. In front of the camera, the woman is the center of attention; she is elevated, yet prevented from participating in any other way than as a suspension device. As the dressing/sculpting proceeds, the lumps of dough become more and more difficult for her to carry. Then, finally, they fall to the floor with a thud. The form of the "suit" is inspired by Artemis of Ephesus (Turkey), the ancient goddess of hunting, who was depicted wearing a bunch of bull scrotums on her chest.
Lasta är en videoperformance som projiceras vertikalt på en skärm hängandes i rummet. En ung kvinna står i centrum av bilden med utsträckta armar. Två andra personer tar upp bitar av jäsande deg från golvet och formar utdragna klumpar som de hänger på kvinnan. Den påklädande, skulpterande aktiviteten sker bit för bit samtidigt som degen dras mot golvet, videon följer arbetet – tyngden, bärandet, misslyckandet. Kvinnan framför kameran är i centrum av uppmärksamheten, men samtidigt förhindrad att delta på annat vis än som upphängningsanordning. Allt eftersom aktiviteten fortsätter blir klumparna längre och längre och svårare för henne att bära, tills de slutligen faller till golvet med ett dunsande ljud. Formen för ”kostymen” är inspirerad av jaktgudinnan Artemis från Efesos (Turkiet) som avbildades med ett dussin tjurpungar hängandes över bröstet.
